Not so far away, young William Ransom is still coming to terms with the discovery of his true father’s identity - and thus his own - and Lord John Grey has reconciliations to make, and dangers to meet...on his son’s behalf and his own.
Meanwhile, the Revolutionary War creeps ever closer to Fraser’s Ridge. And with the family finally together, Jamie and Claire have more at stake than ever before.

Wonderful Addition to the Epic Series
Loved it as usual with all of the Outlander books I became totally engrossed and found it flew by too quickly. I most certainly will re listen again, after re reading the rest of the series, and perhaps while waiting for the next season of the show to resume.

Audible reading method
Davina Porter is wonderful, she brings the characters to life. I prefer audible books as I do not have the inclination to sit for hours reading. I can listen as I do other tasks.

Good as always
As good as the other volumes. Like the previous ones, however, the author stays around a character for a long time and we wonder what is happening with the other characters during this same time and that would be just as interesting and important in the story. Ms. Porter doesn't seem to fixate on William's voice, it's funny sometimes, but she's so talented. The end is rather abrupt it surprised me.

Home again
There are series that envelope you like a warm blanket and make you feel like you have come home. This is how I feel with each of Diana Gabaldon's books.
All of the characters feel like family to me and this long awaited book made me feel like I had been away from home for a long time. it was so good to be back.
Davina Porter is the perfect narrator for this series and helps you to visualize and feel emotionally what the writer is trying to convey.
