Spoopy
Dark, spoopy and stabby. Completely different feel from the first book but delivered just as well. Character's continue to evolve and develop in interesting ways, no one feels like theyre wasted space. The world is much brighter to look at but just as dark and foreboding as originally presented. Narrator was fantastic. Incredible job especially considering he's voicing a female protagonist.

plot twists galore!
phenomenal story i loved it 10x more than book 1 and that's saying a lot, i loved the action packed fast pacing in book 2 it's also even darker than book 1 and i love it!
so glad i read it through audiobook format the fights are so much more intense and vivid!

A strange departure from the original
I liked the original a lot because it was a mix between Hogwarths and Assassin's Creed with a huge intrege throughout, that one however steps away from that awesome place COMPLETELY and brings you at the other end of the spectrum. It still brings the ultra violence from the first one but the setting throughout is a bit more dull. The writter does drive the nail in hard for an amazing ending but it felt sort of demanded from him after the slow boil the whole book felt like up until the last few pages. The narrator is still as good as in the first one although I feel bad for him since there are even more extra descriptive sex scenes then in the first one so that must have been awkward!

Great again
Wow really enjoyed the 2nd book not as good as the first maybe but still so many things were great the only complaint I have is that (light spoiler) Mia starts off weaker than she left off the last book even for simple things she’s amazing at like dodging and sensing the shadow they didn’t bring up. It was still really good all the new characters and everything just wow. Had a Minor anxiety attack half the time but still worth it. I predicted somethings and other just totally through me off.
