Jesus' best friend John chose seven signs through which to help us better understand the nature of the kingdom. Jesus came to introduce. It’s not enough to “believe", as the inadequate English translation of the word pisteuo would have us understand. John shows us how Jesus used these signs to awaken ordinary people to believe “all in” and become sold-out Christ followers.
This seven-week journey will explore the seven ways Jesus awakened sleeping giants to become true kingdom followers and change the world. No amount of new facts about Jesus would be the jangling alarm to awaken true followers. Watching someone parachute out from an airplane is nowhere near the same thing as jumping yourself.
New Testament believers went “all in” to follow Jesus, and that is the route plotted by John for you. It is my desire that this seven-week journey will awaken you from your slumber (Eph. 5:14), and you will include and encourage those around you to become true followers of Jesus as you learn essential kingdom skills necessary to develop multiplying disciples.
