À propos de cet audio
A collection of two short science fiction/fantasy books:
Golden Ghosts
A science fiction tale spanning from the human extinction in 2050 to the sun's transformation into a red giant. A speculative account of enormous geological, biological, and ecological alterations. Species come and go, mass extinctions devastate the planet and the planet recovers, strange new intelligences appear, and their civilization's rise and fall. The world has an exciting and dramatic new history because the humans disappear from it.
Wigpunk
Wigpunk is an eighteenth century vision of the future. The year is 1790, and the world of 1990 is imagined by Archie Archibald. It is a world of steamhorses, steamsnakes, steam whales, and steamhawks. The brightly painted towns are connected by rails and cobblestone highways. The inhabitants of these towns live in colorful dwellings, work in colorful industrial mills, and everyone wears a brightly colored wig. The fields are grazed by hideous but meaty oversized cattle, and the corn is cut with clockwork sickles. The alternative 1990 of Wigpunk is stranger and more vibrant than the real thing.
