À propos de cet audio

On any given night, more than half a million Americans and Canadians find themselves sleeping on the streets, in shelters, cars, and other places not meant for human habitation.

Yet as this crisis continues to grow, it remains one of the least talked about—especially in churches. Even where compassion and empathy exist, the complexities around homelessness can make us feel stuck, overwhelmed, or numb to the existence of unhoused people in our cities and neighborhoods.

Reporting back from his work in homeless services, minister and advocate Kevin Nye introduces listeners to the Christ he’s met in tents, shelters, and drop-in centers. He demystifies homelessness by journeying into complex issues like affordable housing, mental illness, addiction, and more, while reimagining our theological approach to these matters and educating us on how they intersect with homelessness.

This thorough and intimate book shows us that from the margins, Jesus has something to teach us all about grace—something that could change the landscape of homelessness entirely if we’re ready to hear it.

Grace Can Lead Us Home Review

Wether or not you went to get ordained you've actually been marked by love that is ordained by God.

Jeremiah 29:7

How people relate to land is a fundamental aspect of biblical theology.

The part about the experiment with the rats is awesome. The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, it's connection.

What is an infertation?

Luke 14:12-14

Jesus says to go into your room and pray and that's not good news for people without a home...

Between Matthew 25 and the parable of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16, Jesus seems more concerned with how we treat the poor than with what and how we believe as a measurement of our faith..

Merit housing is bad. Grace can lead us home and the housing first model is good.

Jesus was, is and always will be commited to slow relational work.

Jesus was telling them they weren't sinners not saying that they were and that's why they weren't allowed to throw stones. And He says neither do I condemn you.
