In between book
The story was ok, felt a bit like it was an in between book to set up the next one. I also found the voices a bit off, I even had to check if there was a new narrator

Unapologetically modern hero!
The lack of post modern theme in the story and characters is refreshing. The author makes no attempt to placate "woke" readers. The main protagonist is strong willed, sexually virulent, and competent. He has his flaws and that makes him relatable. A true male hero character that is a rarity these days.

I Can't Get Enough
Any series that has held my attention for 14 books has something special about it, and the 15th is no exception. In Green Wold, everyone's favorite slacker legionnaire James McGill muddles through another series of crazy situations, revisiting some old characters, making some interesting changes to existing characters. Mark Boyett was great as usual. What I love about this series is still there, alive and well. I look forward to the next entry in the series.

I've finally had enough...
I've been rolling with ol' James McGill since Steel World. For the most part the series has been entertaining and pulpy with predictable story circles. This one for me was a bust. It felt like a chore to hear his repetitive escapades and repeated lore. There was no reward at the end either.
Anyhow, just my 2c.
