Gus Grimey is a genius kid that can build anything. Also, he smells bad, behaves horribly, is not cool, and doesn't like being around people. Along with the clever ball of ear wax he keeps with him for conversation, Grimey believes the best way to solve any problem is to throw trash all over Fern Isle - because if Fern Isle got trashed, then everyone would move away, and he could have peace and quiet!
Amelia Jane Green is an eight-year-old girl who also lives in the seaside town of Fern Isle. She plays soccer, loves to dance - and is the recycling rockstar Green Girl, the best dressed protector of the environment and the coolest cleaner-upper of trash all over Fern Isle! Using powers given to her from the magic Green Power Gem, she fights against the nasty Gus Grimey to keep Fern Isle clean from trash.
Everyone in Fern Isle is excited for the very first Annual Recycle Day Parade! The parade will be a big party on Main Street to celebrate recycling and how it keeps our world clean. But Gus Grimey has built a giant monster robot, the Grime Bot, and has plans on ruining the parade for everyone - unless Green Girl, with the help of her little brother Steven, can save the annual Recycle Day Parade from disaster!
