À propos de cet audio
What does lifelong health mean to you? Young or old, it's never too early and never too late to set this goal. What does aging look like to you? Does it necessarily mean a painful, slow decline? Recent medical studies show we can actually solve the paradox of living much longer AND still thriving with vitality and energy.
"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food--all diseases begin in the gut." - Hippocrates
Our gut plays a crucial role in not only digesting food but also in maintaining overall health and well-being. What we eat or drink regularly exposes us to a variety of chemicals and hormones.
In this way we either promote disease or fight it. This includes a spectrum of illnesses and common ailments of: arthritis, weight gain, weight loss, skin conditions, autoimmune diseases, cancer, anxiety and mental health. They all concern us as we age.
No need to resort to crash diets and starving ourselves to become healthier. It's not the solution nor is it addressing the real root problem.
A primary part of the solution lies in supporting the health of the microorganisms living within our bodies. These bacteria make up the microbiome that directly determines our health.
A big key is to avoid harmful elements in foods we previously didn't consider. A main one is lectins, for example, gluten. Limiting or eliminating such elements in our diet has been shown to reduce inflammation, illnesses, and greatly improve overall health.
