Their travels will take them into the domain of a powerful and monstrous intelligence - known as “the Captive” by Forerunners and “the Primordial” by ancient human warriors, this being may not only control the fate of Chakas, Riser, and the rest of humanity, but of all sentient life across the galaxy....

343 Guilty Spark Monitor of Installation 04 has always been one of my favorite characters since CE even though he did kill Johnson. ;/ The performance of this book was amazing! And the ending with Tim doing his 343 voice made me cry this saga is amazing! And it's a joy relieving it again in audio form.

yet another series I love
love the forerunner stories, wish there were more than just three.
favorite part was when chakas is hearing the story of forthencho.
it was a while since I listened but from what I remember the narrator was awesome, not like reach where the guy mispronounced Mjolnir

regrettably I found the story boring. I had difficulty engaging and felt like this book was twice as long as it was. I thought the performance was very well done. The reader provides many strong vocal performances that fit with the first book.
