I learned a lot while falling in love with the characters. Bob brought historical figures to life and let them tell their stories. He managed to balance very difficult subject matter with a compelling narrative and moments of humor. I'm struggling to explain it properly, but I highly recommend giving this book a listen. It's read by the author and the narration is excellent.

I finished this in a day and will pre-order whatever he writes next.

The storytelling was engaging, there never felt like a dull moment, and the humour mixed in with sensitive subject matter never felt disrespectful, but instead like a love letter to a deeply respected historical figure, who’s actions can clearly be felt by so many today.

I had high hopes for this book going in, and left feeling like I had truly FELT something. The music at the end was a wonderful touch as well. I will absolutely be listening to any other books he might write in the future, though even if this is the only one, it was EXCELLENT!

THIS IS WHY I READ! Going to have to grab a physical copy for my bookshelf where all my favs go.

I loved this book so much that when I finished it, I immediately restarted it. Bob the Drag Queen masterfully blends history and modernity in a brilliant and beautiful way. I loved every second of this incredibly story.

the characters are dynamic. you feel like your in the room with them! then songs are perfect! the whole feeling of this book is amazing! It's probably one of the best books written by a drag queen! it's such a unique idea for a book! it's amazing!

This novel was so personal, well written and from a distinct perspective. I found myself feeling a more human connection with the historical figures featured in the book. The nuance of every character was thought through and detailed, making it an absolute breeze to listen to. This book should be used for history lessons across North America.

This is a truly amazing, original and captivating story. I listened strait through. However, this does not read like a book it reads like a script and I really hope bob makes it a musical. Still, the story’s good enough it gets five stars.
