A Christmas Tradition

I listen to this every Christmas and it never gets old. Sedaris is hysterical and the performances are fantastic!

Not for me

There are maybe a couple of stories that are funny and worth listening to the remainder try to be funny and entertaining and fail miserably. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Do not read if you are, or anyone you love is disabled or has exceptionalities

I really wanted to love this. Who doesn't love humor AND Christmas?! But I admit I was sickened when the author began talking about the customers with special needs whom he referred to as "Ret@#$ed". As if the word wasnt bad enough, the author repeated it several times and detailed how they looked and walked...i was absolutely apalled. Now, I know this book was written in the late 90's but that has given the author ample time to remove that part from the story. As a mother of a beautiful boy with a global delay, I won't be reading anything else by David Sedaris. I feel like he owns the world and apology.
