The pair worked together in numerous films, including Victor/Victoria, the gender-bending comedy that garnered multiple Oscar nominations.
Cowritten with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, and told with Andrews's trademark charm and candor, Home Work takes us on a rare and intimate journey into an extraordinary life that is funny, heartrending, and inspiring.

Wonderfully done
Julia Andrews is a favourite, and it was wonderful to hear her own voice narrating her own story. It gave much more meaning to the book. Thoroughly enjoyed having a glimpse into the behind the scenes of all that she accomplished.

Impossible to criticize such a tremendous woman, yet…
Julie Andrew’s has shown tremendous love, supported an incredibly large number of people, and continually juggled residency requirements of two countries. As well, she managed to give great joy throughout the world. She rose above her upbringing and her life is an epiphany to hard work and love.
So why am I a little disappointed by this book? I struggled to get into it, feeling that I was listening to lists—she did this, who did that, what happened. My engagement happened about the halfway through point and then it was clear sailing to the end and I greatly appreciated the book. I had another problem. There is a big difference between a written cadence, that is, words written to be read, and an oral one, that to be listened to. Sometimes Julie’s reading became wooden because of this and I thought dragged the quality of the book slightly down.
All that being said, this is an enthralling book written by a marvellous lady. I am very grateful for the joy she has given me throughout the years.
