À propos de cet audio

Integrity Taylor should have been a Clan princess. Instead she's lived a life on the very periphery of society. However, now that she's learned more about her heritage and the magic that she's capable of wielding, she's not going to hide in the shadows any longer.

The once-in-a-generation Sidhe Games are going to provide the perfect opportunity for her to win back her birthright, and the fact that she'll be going head-to-head, toe-to-toe, and mouth-to-mouth with golden-haired Byron Moncrieffe might just be the icing on the cake.

I enjoy the second book better

I’m happy to say that I enjoyed the second book better then the first, unfortunately there was zero spice just a little kiss but hopefully in book 3 we will get some.
The best part of this book was going beyond the veil I found that very interesting.
The rest of the book was very predictable but not horrible just simple.

Disappointing

I enjoyed the first book in this series so decided to listen to the others, but this book was disappointing. There are series where the subsequent books start almost immediately after the first book ends so it’s almost like turning a page those are the series I enjoy. This one started after a gap and had no true direction or purpose. it starts with her saving a couple who gets stranded on snowy Mountains to all of a sudden wanting to get her father’s land back. Gone is her drive from book one to find out the truth behind the death of her clan, gone is outing the head as a murderer, everything from the original book seems to have been forgotten.

I’m a little anxious about listening to the third book in the series. I know the title of this book is honour bound but I think the author overdid it with all the self-sacrificing acts throughout the book. you can have honour and still fight for and achieve your own goals. I groaned at the flag event when she let another win, and groaned louder at the last part of the games when instead of pushing the button and then trying to save byron, she decides to save him first and ends up losing. The man can fight on his own and he has two gifts, why do you need to fight his battles for him? All that and the obsession with Byron made the book completely pointless.

Additional aspects of the book that made me go huh?
1. When she walks up to Byron’s dad out of the blue and reveals that she knows he’s not a good guy and threatens him.
2. When she reveals Bob to everyone by sending him to warn others...during the competition...to get out of the water as if they’re children when they themselves are all adults....and it’s a competition.
3. When the lady with flower blooming power recognizes her own gift in Serenity...and outs her as a stealer of gifts, is that a second power? Being able to see your own power in others?
