À propos de cet audio
Never before in the history of the world has more time, effort, and resources been invested into a single generation than the Millennials. Be it incredibly expensive college degrees, perfectly privileged diets, life-coping drugs, uncountable therapist visits, even bending reality so everybody was impossibly a winner, no expense was spared for the most pampered generation in human history.
But $30 trillion and 20 years later we have the biggest failure of a human crop in the history of the world. The Millennials are hopelessly indebted, perennially underemployed, they suffer more mental illness than any generation before them, and they are hopelessly armed with completely worthless degrees. They have absolutely no hope of homeownership, retirement, or family, and most will live their entire lives financially crippled with debt. They are an unmitigated sociological disaster and a tragic chapter in human history.
But it doesn't have to be this way and it doesn't have to end this way for Millennials. Because everybody can learn from the pain, suffering, and failure of the Millennials. The secret to success, wealth, happiness, and love is laying right in front of us as within every mistake they made there is the knowledge and wisdom that leads to success. We just need the courage to think critically, be honest with ourselves, and admit where we as a society have failed. If we have this come-to-jesus-meeting with ourselves, we can spare future generations the fate of the Millennials and give the Millennials themselves a fighting chance to salvage what remains of their lives. We owe it to future generations and it’s the least we can do for America’s most-tortured generation - The Millennials.

For four generations men have been subjected to some pretty damning accusations. They're the oppressors of women. Their misogyny is the sole cause of the much-hated wage gap. They are guilty of the original sins of privilege and institutional sexism. And this says nothing about the rank mockery and, often times, outright hatred men receive in the media, government, and our schools. But perhaps the most damning accusation of them all is that men are no longer needed. That they are now somehow obsolete.

Histoire
For all of human history, men and women came together to form families. It may have been common, it may have been routine, but that is what they did. Generation after generation, for all of human history, men and women formed families. That is until now. Though humanity has never been to the point where women and men abandoned one another before, that doesn't mean there is not a limitless number of things life offers that gives it value. Whether it's hobbies, vice, philosophy, religion, your career, or your friends, the world offers a limitless menu for you to choose from.

Society, by statistical necessity, needs to focus on the majority. It needs to be built and designed for "the average". Society, by moral necessity, also needs to focus on the disadvantaged and disabled, helping those who cannot help themselves. But while the majority of society's resources, attention, and infrastructure is dedicated to average or below-average people, little-to-none of it is dedicated to the abnormally intelligent.

Histoire
Nobody should be going to college immediately after high school. They should be taking a two year road trip across the country to find out who they are and what they want out of life instead. But still, every year we send millions of inexperienced 18-year-olds down a path of debt, worthless degrees, poor employment prospects, commonness and misery. The results are two full generations of adults who wasted decades of their lives chasing dreams that would never come true.

Exactly what We (some of us) Need Right Now
Great job. Nearly every chapter is useful, and a few are simply enlightening in the most literal sense. This is not an attack on millennials, this is a way to move forward and succeed in the current landscape, as well as a bit of wisdom and life advice for a generation which thirsts for both.
