It all starts with a single innocent question: What's it like to be a woman?
For years, Fabian has been curious about the lives of the women all around him, but they never seem to want to talk to a too-curious man about it—there's always a bit of the experience he couldn't get to or questions that would seem too inappropriate. But now, he has a brilliant new cover plan that will help him get to the bottom of things: He's going to write a book about it! Purely for research purposes, of course.
As part of Fabian's research, he finds a willing instructor who's happy to not only answer his questions but persuades him that some primary research might even be necessary: undercover, as a woman. However, I went into this story after having finished "First Time Feminized", followed by "Becoming Hers". Given the description of the novel, and the tag of "Romantic Comedy", I expected more of the same.
I was not prepared for such a heavy overarching subject to take up approx. 50% of the overall storyline. I believe that this was deliberate, intended to draw the reader/listener into the realities of such events that can happen without warning or control, So in this I think that it succeeds. However, I do wish that it had been reflected in the summary or tagging. I found it to be at times triggering, having experienced similar such situations vicariously through both my career and other personal experiences. I considered leaving this as a DNF, however out of both respect to the author and their intentions I did complete it.
