God has sent all of us into this world so that we may fulfill our intended purpose. We often cannot understand this purpose, at least not until we receive God’s guidance. It is this guidance that sets us on the straight path and allows us to reach success eventually.
My success came similarly: With determination, strength, and complete reliance on God. My faith gave me the ability to conquer all my battles and achieve everything I had ever hoped to achieve. In this book, I write about all the struggles that have shaped me and all the ways I have exceeded my own expectations.
Being a Black woman living in America, I faced many obstacles, but I still accomplished things not many could think of achieving. I ultimately became the person I had always dreamt of becoming. Through all the countless ups and downs of my life, it was my unwavering faith that provided me with the strength and wisdom to overcome.
I sought the counsel of God and emerged victorious. “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” (Isaiah, 58:11).
