The "Starship" we need to transport humanity from primitives to the stars is a society that supports our physical nature—one that promotes reality, reason, and individualism. Technology will follow.
JJ Kelly, the former CEO of US Telecom and a recognized founder of the Telecommunications Revolution, points out that humanity rose above animals by evolving the faculty of reason and creating technology. Technology is now advancing at an exponential rate. Man's next evolutionary leap is to merge our biology with our technology to become a new hybrid species with radically extended lifespans in the stars. But first, we must learn how to sustain our free society.
JJ applied reason to what we know so far about the universe's physical laws, the nature of things that exist, historical facts, and the critical thinking of specialists to isolate and identify what he calls the "Six Critical Processes." These fundamental principles answer life's biggest questions: "What is reality and reason I exist?" "How do I know it?" "How should I live my life?" "How should people deal with each other?" "Where are evolution and technology taking humanity?" and "How do I achieve happiness?""
