À propos de cet audio
Looking for snippets of fresh perspectives, humor in mundane things, wisdom insights? Check out all 14 short mystical stories:
Americans were celebrating Thanksgiving in Fall of 2013 when Comet ISON, arriving from distant Oort Cloud, reached “perihelion”, the critical moment rounding the Sun when he would flare up and become a majestic Christmas comet or break apart from Sun’s intense heat. ISON, an animated being in our story, finds both comfort and scorn from planets and asteroids, and NASA’s careful watch, as he traverses the Solar System on his perilous journey; confronting the big questions of purpose, life, death and beyond, for all consciousness, be they human, animal, or comets made from ice and dirt.
“Light a Particle or Wave?” examines the metaphysical foundation of living cells and science’s unsolved mystery as to why light elements act as both particle and wave. Through humor and science, a light element narrating the story answers the unanswerable question.
“Unforeseen Voyage” launches from an ordinary lunch at a waterfront restaurant, where a diner enters a “Twilight Zone” mystery. Seeing the futility of life’s ordinary pursuits with death close at hand, he forms a critical view of other diners’ eating, drinking, and merry-making. But in a moment the tables turn, and he is on the receiving end. The story is of the dilemma we face as we contemplate our temporal natures.
In “Are You Christian”, faith and Christianity struggle with evolution. Ryan, the mystic, demonstrates the shortfalls of both, revealing a greater more elevated understanding of life beyond.
In “On Order from The Divine”, an ego-driven heavenly being is critiquing the failings of humanity from his lofty perch above. The Divine overhears and orders him to take human birth, to better see human challenges. Encountering first erotic lust, then receptivity, a wise monastic delivers a special message on the pitfalls of self-importance, and his new life on earth begins.
Enjoy!
