This book is not slow to start. I don't read what a book is about. I listen to the narrator's voice and the comments. So it's always a surprise. This was so good!!! Wish I was just starting the book. Excellent listen.

Looking forward
Two mesmerizing stories woven expertly into one. A very tantalizing ending makes me excited to read the next in this series.

Brilliant!
This story is engaging, surprising, and leads you on twists and turns that you will not predict. I can honestly say, it's been a long time since I have been wrong about 'who dun it'. And, unlike some stories that pull a twist out of no where, in retrospect, subtly is absolutely brilliant in delivery. Speaking of delivery! What a wonderfully read book, full of engagement. Almost a one-man radio play that brings full life to the cast of vivid characters. This was an absolutely brilliant experience and I can't wait to listen to the next two in the series!
