À propos de cet audio
This week is Susie's birthday, and to celebrate, she invites one of her favorite authors onto the show. Hanne Blank has a new book out called Straight: The Surprisingly Short History of Heterosexuality, in which she delves into the history of how hetero was created and marketed to people around the time of World War II. Susie and Hanne talk about heterosexuality being a middle-class notion, medical science and the understanding of sexuality, and if there really is a gay brain versus a straight brain. They also riff on why we don't see Viagra ads for anal sex.
Then, in our "Try This at Home" mailbag, Susie gets a letter from a female listener who is curious but cautious. She asks, "What's the diff between men and women topping each other?"
