Interesting read
I found the history interesting
Fell in love with the parents but not so much with the son thus the book flounders near the end

Keep some Kleenex close!
Other reviews thought it lagged in the middle. I didn’t find that at all. Narration was fantastic, and like all other DS books, she never lets the reader down. Great Book.

Different novel but enjoyable
Very moving novel. However, I think Max got off too easily with the failed marriage. Not being a present husband or father, he was never there to help his wife adjust. She was young and shallow, but who knows what might have happened if there had been two parents present. She needed guidance and love. He was never there!

Last 1/4 of Book fell flat.
The first 3/4 of this story was captivating. The last 1/4, not so. It fell hopelessly flat.
