The villain was sort of interesting as was the actual plot but it felt uneven to me.Carol sanctimonious and immature, Tony was pretty predictable and ineffective at every turn, Not up to standard but still ok. I didn’t think the narrator did the story any favours

Sort of disappointing

I was so distracted by the narrator trying to sound like an Asian woman. The character wasn't an immigrant and didn't need an accent. It felt like he was making fun of Asians by the stupid voice impression.

this one reminds me a lot of Wire in the Blood, in terms of the bad guy

Other than those two things, I really enjoyed this. I sort of predicted the ending, and it opens a few plot holes to me. I feel like it creates a bunch of questions about previous books.

But the book itself is super interesting, well paced, and enjoyable as usual.
