Love this series, but
The recordings for the four separate narrators are of differing qualities. Of course, Brown writes another great addition to this series, but the poor quality of some of the recordings really took away from some of the story for me.

Another wonderful book
While the audio is not amazing, it is definitely not as bad as many claim. The 4th book in this story was quite good. While probably my least favorite so far, it was still a very good listen. The new narrators take some time to adjust to, towards the middle of the novel each story grows on you. One note: the book basically finished on a cliffhanger forcing you to get the next novel which I did not enjoy but as whole, I do recommend starting the second trilogy.

Great story, bad audiobook
Overall great story, a great set up for the sequel series (tetralogy?!) Unfortunately a couple of the narrators make the audiobook experience challenging. Lysander’s narration was so quiet and robotic, it was extremely frustrating to get through his pov chapters. Lyria is a great character but her narrator was wanting to win an Oscar for her performance and it just really put me off. The other two narrators were great. This is my least favourite book in the series but even then I love it to death, Pierce Brown knows how to write compelling story and characters you just fall in love with. He writes friendships and loyalty better than anyone out there. Cannot recommend this series enough, absolutely fantastic.

Great continuing saga spoiled by narration
I agree with nearly every other review - although not the best book in the series, the story is spoiled by the narrator for Lysander - he speaks too fast with no tone or inflection (it isn't improved by different narrator in next book either!!!)I am not a fan of the different voices at all. Loved the narration of the previous books.

Different but in a good way.
Drastic shift in perspective from the first three novels. Seeing the world from multiple angles and colours adds an unexpectedly welcome depth to Pierce Browns already amazing world. Definitely enjoyed the ensemble cast.

Another Entertaining Red Rising novel
this was another great book. Only 1 criticism, but unfortunately it's a large one. The narrator for the Lysander chapter's was awful, nearly unlistenable. No inflection, no emotion, absolutely awful. It ruined the book when those chapters came on. It's really unfortunate because the others were great.

Continues the series amazingly
This book does a nice job to continue the series. It was not the best book in the series but it held its own. It took me awhile to get use to the different narators as I would have rather just had Raynolds as I love his voice. The other narators are really good but no my favourites. #Audible1

pretty good performances but an uneven story
Definitely the weakest of the 4 books so far, but still good nonetheless.
80% of the book is a vote, due mostly to some horrible pacing (Lysander's narrative should be a separate short story) and otherwise lengthy exposition/dialogue devoted to side characters who mean very little to the overall plot/development of the man characters. But the beginning and end chapters are good, interesting and more akin to the Peirce Brown that we know. Darrow is also just so frustrating in this, his actions and disregard for those closest to him making little sense. I did tire of Lyria's voice relying purely on accent to convey emotion (rather than being an accent that still conveys nuance).
