À propos de cet audio
This island adventure took place on a south Florida sugar cane plantation in 1910. Ruins of the plantation still exist today and a small number of tourist visit Lostmans' Key each year to see the old rusty cast iron remnants that fed the sugar industry so many years ago.
His name was Edgar J. Watson, a man with a secret past. Accused of gunning-down the notorious outlaw Belle Starr, Edgar fled into the lawless land where no lawman in his right mind would go—the wilds of southwest Florida. In a region where snakes, gators, and sharks feasted on the naive ones who accepted the offerings of strangers. Edgar J. Watson became successful in the sugar trade, building his plantation on the backs of runaways, slaves, and adventurers. The money offered for the season-end was a lucrative incentive to produce the best crop. Edgar loved his workers and always expressed his affection for them by tending to their needs. But when the season ended, Edgar paid his workers with a bullet in the head. Not so ruthless as Edgar, but no angel, was his wife, Rose, who developed a propensity for setting things on fire. Edgar loved Rose from the day he kidnapped her, so some things never change. Or do they?
