Jackie Moss was once one of the hottest stand-up comedians in show business, a contemporary of Don Rickles, Jack Carter, and Buddy Hackett. He'd even had his own television series. But Jackie has a temper and that temper has put his career in trouble. Obviously, it was a mistake, but once that error is discovered it's too late. Jackie and Dave Arthur, his pianist, not only discover they must perform before an angry audience, but after the show, they are accused of attempted murder, and the local sheriff would just as soon take them out to the nearest oak tree as look at them. If that isn't bad enough, Jackie and Dave also stumble upon a conspiracy involving foreign spies and government agents that could also cost them their lives.
