Beginner oriented?

This book seemed to jump headlong into the gamut of JavaScript libraries, frameworks and peripherals, all with their unintelligible acronyms, and tended to repeat itself. The intro sections were just far too bloated with explanations not useful to a beginner, in my opinion. And what was with that massively biased comparison between Eclipse and NetBeans and how they are used with Java? How confusing! Not my choice for learning to code in JavaScript.
