Joining us at Audible Studios is household name thanks to Channel 4's Gogglebox, June Bernicoff. June, alongside her husband, Leon, joined Gogglebox from its very first season in 2013, until 2017. Unfortunately, after a short illness and complications, Leon passed away just before Christmas in 2017.
After his passing, June decided that she couldn't return to Gogglebox alone. She appeared on the show as a partnership: Leon and June. She couldn't face appearing as just June. Instead, she took the opportunity to tell the story of Leon and June, sharing precious moments, starting when she and Leon met at teacher training college, when June herself was just 18 years old, through the building of their family lives and finding their feet as pensioners.
We spoke to June about her memoir of her life alongside Leon in her book, Leon and June. We also spoke about her time on Gogglebox and what her plans are for the future.
