À propos de cet audio
Set in R.S. Belcher's urban fantasy Nightwise universe, the Brotherhood of the Wheel returns to explore the haunted byways and truck stops of the US Interstate Highway System in King of the Road.
Jimmie Aussapile, Lovina Marcou, and Heck Sinclair are members of a secret society dedicated to protecting those who travel America's highways from the monsters, both supernatural and mundane, that lurk in the darkness just beyond your headlights. They are the Brotherhood of the Wheel.
At home in Lenoir, North Carolina, Jimmie and his squire Heck find themselves drawn into an all-out war between two competing biker gangs. One is led by a rival biker in possession of new found supernatural allies, and the other is an all-female werewolf pack.
Meanwhile, Lovina is drawn into a missing-person case that leads to a Pennsylvania trailer park seemingly haunted by killer clowns.
One way or another, peace must be maintained, and the many roads of America must be protected. But it might just cost the Brotherhood their souls if they aren't careful.

Love this series, where the HECK is #3??
As I said, I love this series. The characters and the storylines are unique with a nice mixture of good/evil and the natural/supernatural. I just have one complaint, ok I have 2:
The 1st complaint involves the narration, I love Bronson Pinchot as a narrator and this character's voice probably isn't - at least not fully - his fault, since Mr Belcher wrote the character (Hector) as having a soft Scottish AND Californian accent...I can't imagine how that would sound, and neither can Mr Pinchot. I vote for just going with a soft Scottish accent and forgetting the "California" part - please? Heck is hard to listen to so he really stands out.
Great narration though (aside from Heck!🔥) and another great novel, with the same complex and interesting plot lines and characters from book 1 with some interesting additions and surprises. I get some 'Harry Dresden' vibes, which is an excellent thing IMO. (From 'The Dresden Files' series of novels.)
2nd complaint: One thing I wish someone had told me in a review for this one was that it, unlike the 1st one, leaves you on MULTIPLE cliffhangers, big, small and in-between...so, where is book 3??
(It's as bad as waiting on George R.R. Martin, it's now 2024, come on Mr Belcher!)
So you get to know the recurring characters, the kind of world they're in and if you enjoy them, the writing style, the plot etc. in book 1 and this one, (#2) builds on it really well. BUT as good as it is, because there are just SO MANY CLIFFHANGERS (Everyone and everything left up in the air, no exaggeration!) I wouldn't get this one until you have confirmation of book 3.
Get it ASAP if that ever happens, it really is a fun and well written supernatural series with great characters, plots, secrets and secret societies ALL hanging on cliffs rn.
