A star wars story
Another solid performance by Marc Thompson. the story was good but not as engaging as others. it can together at the end well but the villain was not as flushed out and so didn't bring any real urgency but great to see Lando and Han in the seat again!

Great story gets hurt by narrators
I will leave the story reviews to others but will simply say it was a fun adventure and well told journey for Han and Landon’s characters. My focus is more on he audio production.
Star Wars books have always had an incredible audio production and Last Shot continues that. From sound effects to music, the mood and feel are emphasized by the soundscape.
Marc Thompson is an incredible narrator for Star Wars and continues to remain my favourite as the accuracy and range of his characters is incredible. Here is where the issue starts. The story is told in 3 time periods and each time period is read by a different narrator. The problem is that every time the switch would occur it only emphasizes how strong Marc’s narration is. Don’t get me wrong. January LaVoy is the female narration Star Wars needed and I love her addition here as the droid and even her version of Lando is solid. However, as solid as his writing is, Daniel’s narration pales in comparison to the others and I wonder if he forced his way in to read his own book. I often struggled to enjoy the sections with Sana due to his narration which sucks as I really enjoyed seeing her backstory with Han.
Perhaps I am being too picky. Overall this is still a must listen but I ask to stick to one narrator or use each narrator for different characters instead of the different time frames as I found it more of a distraction then a benefit.

Was good
Was good but struggled through the back story narration with the male narrator. Better stories out there but can't expect them to be all amazing I guess.

Good story but only 2 good narrators out of the 3
The story was good. I enjoyed the adventure and even the time jumping. Marc and January do an incredible job, as always, narrating this novel. The third narrator however (I believe it's the author of the novel) was dreadful. His narration took me out of the experience and I found myself cringing through a majority of his narration. From a normal audiobook narration perspective he did just fine, but due to the precedent set by all previous star wars audiobooks and their high level of production, which creates an enthralling star wars experience; well, it just was even close to cutting it.

Fun story, mostly good reading

decent story, odd dialogue
interesting story and characters, but I wasn't a fan of the dialogue. Marc and Jessica were on point as always, but I felt the sections with Daniel were not done as well. more change in tone between characters would be better to tell them apart.
overall a fun story with good background to the characters.

I did not know what to expect going into this book, but I am pleasantly, pleasantly happy to say that this was a great listen and the story between Lando and Han during those off years was great. highly recommend

Missed the Mark with Last Shot
There was so many flash backs in the narrative that it made it hard to follow, but what made it SO much worse was their use of two subsidiary narrators for the flashbacks. They read the story differently and the voices for the different characters was nonexistent.
The main narrator was awesome! Except the Chewbacca voice was absolutely horrible with the main narrator, and normal with the other narrators.
The plot line of the main story was a little weak with the whole replacing limbs from organic beings to attach them to droids. If droids are superior and the limbs always needed replacing, why not just replace the limbs with droid parts that are obviously superior? It makes sense that organic limbs could be used when no droid parts were available, but to continue using organic limbs makes no sense.

Bad performance from Older
He delivered the worst performance I’ve heard on audible over the past 5 years but Thompson and Lavoy are brilliant as ever.
