shorter
maybe cause it was shorter than previous books but this one felt super fast, like it covered huge story archs back to back... and don't get me wrong, I hate filler as much as the next guy, but this kind da felt like it was missing something. either way glad I spent the credit, love the series.

Best written so far
Like the other books in the series, this set is charming and addictive in a soapy way, - in spite, or perhaps because of, a massively overpowered protagonist. I wondered partway through why Lark didn't just fly through the portal with Blackie and a fully charged sword and simply annihilate all of the demons, or go back and forth between the dragon vein and the portal and leave a thousand pinnacle grade traps on the human side. But, like the rest of the series, why ask why? Just enjoy the puppy dog Earth Scylla and Lark's ability to heal/conjure/annihilate pretty much anything. The last book is by far the best written, and we get to see Big Mona step up - a nice and humorous detour from Lark solving everything!

This story is another great addiction to one of my favourite book series, I cannot say much about it but the story gets more interesting that’s for sure with demons in the mix

The legend is real!
Can’t wait for the next book, great series. If you’re looking for a fun story to listen to and they’re short enough to listen in a day. Could’ve waited until the last of the series was out but couldn’t wait. Good wholesome story with decapitation lol hope you give it a try if you’re still on the fence!

Yet another MASTERPIECE!!!
First time actually writing a review. This series is so amazing ^_^ I love everything about it besides having to wait for the next books to come out. Please please please keep them coming. Such a beautiful and wonderful world. So many awesome stories still yet to be told. I can honestly say I can’t wait for the next books :)

great
one of my favorite reads the writing is great and characters are likeable and written well but it feels like some of the characters could be used more like in this book Zane could have been more prominent he seemed very strong and in the previous book Nikolai is just gone after fighting the wizards of wizard city there kinda wasted but I get why Zane was "killed off" to make the demons stronger in our perspective but still could've been used better

Another great book

Hail to the Wizard King

It’s a great story….. Moreover
The story is great and other than the overall length of the books I really had no criticisms. Until now.
Unfortunately for some reason, the author completely over uses the word “moreover”, it occurs so often that one really cannot miss it.
To me, it feels sloppy and while the word isn’t necessarily misused, it very much reminds me of a three year old that learns a new word and can’t stop using it.
