This series is indeed one of the best space operas out there. The entire series is both intellectually as well as emotionally engaging, which is rare for most series.
What makes it even better is the performance. Jefferson Mays brings the characters alive - transforms the book into an an amazing experience.

By far one of the best books in the series. All of the leftovers are touched on and wrapped up in a satisfying way. This series should be a read to all world leaders and politicians showing the best and worst senerios of humanities future. It's a true pleasure to have listened to this and I will miss the series tremendously.

Nothing is left unsettled.
Nothing is easy, nothing is lazy, and everything surpasses expectation to achieve what was hoped.
At the end, all I could say was "Wow".

I came multiple times

The entire book series was friggin' amazeballs. But Jefferson Mays' reading of it? Goddamn amazing. Honestly my favourite of all the narrators I've heard on Audible. His subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) intonations and voicings that he gives to the characters brings them to life.

Honestly, I'd give the book series itself a 10/10 for it's writing, world building, and ability to draw me into an expansive (pun intended) universe and its characters. Then I'd give an 11/10 to the narrator who made it come alive.

Would listen to all 9 volumes again and again and again.
