À propos de cet audio
"The real deal about kids' travel!"
Do you want to travel abroad with your children? Are you interested in a family gap year? Maybe you even want to explore overseas living? Are you dreaming of #VanLife and drafting up your bucket list? Does extended travel with kids sound exciting and terrifying? Your fantasies about traveling or moving overseas won’t match the reality of day-to-day life in a foreign country, but it will prove to be the experience of a lifetime...if you're prepared!
The McClouds moved from the US to Sri Lanka in 2018. This travel audiobook shares their experience navigating life with a family in a developing country, figuring out the school system, bargaining at the wet markets, employing domestic help, and even finding a "new normal" after terrorism. If you’ve ever considered living abroad with your family, extended travel with kids, or taking a gap year, this audiobook will manage your expectations and give you a realistic view of the ups and downs of extended travel with kids.
This Sri Lankan adventure will teach you:
- How to live with less how to appreciate experiences over things
- How to cope with change
- How to deal with unexpected and challenging situations
- What it feels like to be an outsider
Before you purchase the travel books, a family passport holder, and kids' travel journal for kids, get Life Abroad, so you know what to expect!
About the Author
Melissa is a wife, a mother of two, and has been coaching women since 2004. Her family has moved six times in the past 10 years, and she's been traveling with her babies since they were infants. That's not a flex: it's exhausting! Life Abroad is a gift for her young children, so they have a record of the adventure. Her experience during the Easter Sunday attacks in 2019 led her to publish #WhatTheTuk to raise funds for the victims of the bombings. The McClouds currently reside in London.
