À propos de cet audio
A couple's six-year-old daughter befriends a strange young girl and the pair vanishes into thin air.
And then she was lost....
Allison and James Price move to the navy-blue forests of Concordia, Idaho, hoping to leave behind the chaos of Los Angeles and the painful memories of his indiscretions. Once settled in the picturesque town, where time seems to have stalled and life moves at a slower pace, their six-year-old daughter, Reagan, befriends a mysterious young girl who seems too idyllic to be true with her pressed pinafores and perfectly curled pigtails. One late autumn evening, as their playdate winds down, both girls vanish into thin air. The little girl said she lived at the end of the street but the only thing Allison and James find at the end of the cul-de-sac is the gaping mouth of the forest. Their little girl, the mysterious playmate - they're both gone.
Everyone is looking for Reagan.
Nobody has come forward to claim the mysterious little girl.
Both Allison and James look guilty as hell.
Maybe they are.

Missed Opportunity
I wish that author Addison Moore was better tuned into supernatural/occult sensibilities.
The disappearance of a struggling couple's 6-year-old ('Regan') in the company of a mysterious - oddly disturbing - neighborhood child (who no-one claims) named 'Oda' gives off such paranormal vibes that a fabulous ghost story seems to be lurking just under the surface of this tale.
Unfortunately, Moore essentially ignores the built-in creepy atmosphere in favor of exploring secrets, betrayals, and silly dysfunctional family drama among the characters in the book. The result is actually both a descent into the ludicrous and disappointingly yawnworthy.
As to performance: the "average" narration contributes to my disillusionment. Don't get me wrong - Charles Constant and Hillary Huber provide creditable diction, timbre, cadence, and voice-acting.. but Huber's usually impeccable timing is a bit off on this project, and both are moderately overdramatic in tone. Tantor Audio could have cast other readers and gotten similarly passable results.
Altogether, 'Little Girl Lost' rates 2.5 stars out of 10. It was a timewasting distraction as a 'Plus' option.. paying a Credit for what amounts to a dreadfullly-executed-relationship-exposé-with-great-potential would be indefensible.

Liked it enough
Wasn’t bad. Liked the twists. Some of it a little cringe, felt a little problematic, but overall wasn’t a bad book. Loved the prose, like the use of language at times was very captivating. Bumps up my review.
