À propos de cet audio
Crack CIA analyst Trista Gold is a whiz with the computer, but not so much with people. She hides behind her job, analyzing top-secret code and making recommendations on national security. She doesn't need a man in her life. But she will, very soon....
CIA K-9 officer Sgt. Matt Connors suspects that beneath Trista's uptight appearance, there's a sexy woman itching to cut loose. But he doesn't dare act on his attraction. He's a loner and always will be. Keeping away from Trista is a must-do directive. Until he doesn't have a choice....
During a routine assignment, Trista stumbles across a cryptic exchange. She doesn't think much of it...until someone tries to murder her - twice. Both times, Matt had been there to save her. But now she has to hide. And her new bodyguard, Matt, and his K-9 are the only hope she has against the powerful forces that want her dead.

So focused on physical appearances that the plot is secondary
Wow. I don't think I'll even be able to finish this one. I'm a couple hours in, and every 5 minutes there's some ridiculous reference to how pretty the MC is or how hot guys are, how if the MC want l wasn't so cute then the guy would be annoyed, how men state at the MC, or how the MC thinks she's not pretty enough for the guy to want her because "men like him don't want women like her." What even is this garbage rhetoric? It's definitely not the message I want to have shoved in my face while reading. I had to stop reading and look to see a) how long ago this was written (not that long ago btw), and b) if the author was male because I couldn't fathom anyone identifying as female would willingly work tear down the female population like this. Seems I was wrong, because this author seems perfectly willing to spread the message that it's totally cool to grossly objectify other women.
The focus is so strongly on the objectification of the female characters that the plot gets lost to it. For example, there's a fire. Does the author focus on the impact of that fire on the character? Nope. The author references the character's curves, full breasts, and other physical attributes visible due to the cotton camisole the MC was wearing when the fire began. MC showers after the fire and puts on a t-shirt provided by the guy. Cue the objectification of how her chest looks in his top, how cute her bare feet are. MC gets rescued from an attempted abduction. The author's focus? How cute the rescuer thinks she is without her glasses, which were damaged in the attack. How she'd look so much better if she wore contacts instead.
This book is awful. The narrator is also awful, but I legit can't tell if that's because she's dealing with such terrible material, or she's just bad.
Skip this one, unless you're in the mood for a rage listen.

Monotone and lifeless narration
Read if you want to fall asleep fast. The heroin is a bumbling idiot, the narration is cold and empty.
