À propos de cet audio
Look Both Ways takes a light look at life as it mixes personal thoughts with the words of cultural icons such as Einstein, Teddy Roosevelt, Socrates, Popeye, and Plato. Other cultural icons included are Taylor Swift, Nietzsche, Star Wars, Jesus, and more. Andy Thomas’ face-to-face interactions with Bobby Kennedy, JFK Jr, Jerry Seinfeld, Chuck Schumer, the mob, a murderer, and all kinds characters make for a revealing account of life from the 1950s to the 2020s.
In the style of a TikTok stream, Look Both Ways contains short tidbits about life, time travel, artificial intelligence, sex, politics, the media, racism, getting old, God, death, immortality, farting in public, and many more topics. With wit and style, Look Both Ways takes the listener on a wild and satisfying ride of pop-philosophy that both explores important issues and raises thought-provoking questions that are sure to resonate with the listener.
Andy Thomas, a former Chief-of-Staff in the New York State Assembly, has seen power wielded at the highest levels. As a public defender in New York City’s criminal courts, he has seen that power applied to the lowest levels. He then devoted his next three decades to representing poor and working-class tenants in New York’s raucous and grimy housing courts, never once allowing one of his tenant-clients to be evicted. Andy Thomas has observed life from the top and the bottom, and has always lived somewhere in the middle. He is married to a great wife, and they have a wonderful son.
