I love Dorothy Sayers. Her ability to write interesting mysteries and short stories is legendary. The narrator is one of my favorites and brings the stories and characters to life.

This narrator takes the prize for Worst Narration Ever Heard ! Have been listening to audio novels for over 15 years and she hits a low I never realized existed.
She makes Wimsey sound like a bad castrati in a medieval chorus : he squeals to show a range of emotions from surprize to astonishment to delight. I kept waiting for her-as-him to hit high C.
McDowell has taken the idea of "camp" into a whole new dimension. Poor Peter.
Ngaio Marsh put it best in an open letter to an aspiring would-be writer : You poor, poor boy. Poor, poor Peter Wimsey.
And poor poor listeners.
