Fantastic
One of the more brutal, vivid, and enticing Star Wars stories with just the right amount of fan service but for a book called lords of the sith - I would have liked it to have been a more general focus on that topic, such as delving deeper into Vader's suit design; from a historical perspective, and having him be out of the suit more to study the ways of the sith. Overall; I am always a fan of Ryloth, Cham, and Twileks, and this is so far the best non-comic medium to explore the rivalry and tension between palpatine and vader. My only nitpick is the lack of accurate sound fx for vader's breathing and his lightsaber throw but the breathing succeeded in sounding sinister, and clausterphobic - as if we were inside vader's helmet. Palpatine using a saber isn't something I really enjoy since his distain with sabers due to their connection to the jedi and the old ways has always set him apart from other sith but for the sake of fan service, it was fun. Overall, this is worth a listen.

Incredible story and performance!

Great book
The reader is amazing as usual, and the story is very interesting, to see relationship of emperor and Vader at that point.

vader literally jumps into space while he kamikazes his tie into an enemy ship. then boards them through the hole. what else could you want?

Vader and the Emperor are beasts!
Loved it. Opening intro to Vader was everything I wanted. Defenetly recommend this story. Looking forward to the next book.

One of the best Star Wars novels to date
I admit I was not sure what to expect with this book. I thought it would be exclusively Vader /Palpatine focused, but the first half seemed to veer in a different direction, with more focus on other characters and plotlines. However, this pays off TREMENDOUSLY well, and tells a very beautiful story . The stories all converge together and paint a very interesting picture of what set the rebellion into motion , and we also get a very in depth exploration on Vader's psyche in the early years of his Sith rule. Jonathan Davis does a fantastic job narrating as usual. Again , my only nitpick is to get at least 1 female voice actor for the women in these stories !!!

Jonathan Davis is Star wars
Jonathan Davis is always the best. He pulls you in and tells you the best stories in a way that make you feel like you've seen a movie about what you just heard. totally awesome

More Vader, yes please!
An excellent backstory that helps fill in more of the complex Vader character for Star Wars fans. Great story. Narration performance was ok, would have preferred this in the voice of a cinematic character.

this is what every audio book should strive to be!
wow! I listened to many audio books but this blows it out of the park - sound events of events, voices through radio muffled, lightsaber and blaster sounds, background hum - stellar!!!
