À propos de cet audio
"There are moments of true tenderness, hope, and grief in this haunting, magical tale, and the narrator makes it all convincing. Teenage listeners will be drawn into this enchanting story." (Booklist, starred review)
When children start to go missing in the local woods, a teen girl must face her fears and a past she can't remember to rescue them in this atmospheric YA novel, Lost in the Never Woods from the author of Cemetery Boys.
It’s been five years since Wendy and her two brothers went missing in the woods, but when the town’s children start to disappear, the questions surrounding her brothers’ mysterious circumstances are brought back into the light. Attempting to flee her past, Wendy almost runs over an unconscious boy lying in the middle of the road....
Peter, a boy she thought lived only in her stories, asks for Wendy’s help to rescue the missing kids. But, in order to find them, Wendy must confront what’s waiting for her in the woods.

Honest review
As a person who’s been completely obsessed with Peter Pan for years, I really enjoyed this book. If you’re like me and reading anything Peter Pan this is absolutely worth reading.
Overall story was well written. There were some things that fell a little flat, but the author did extremely well with the creepy elements of this story.
I’m not always a fan of Peter Pan being ‘older’ or being romantically involved with Wendy but in this story it worked the way it needed to. It was believable and I literally couldn’t stop listening until the end.
Narrator wasn’t my favourite. As any audiobook listener knows, narrators can be very hit or miss, and while they did relatively well with Peter, I wasn’t a fan overall but it works in the end for me.
This is a romance story, but it’s not crazy or outlandish. It lives up to Peter’s childlike personality and is a very very well done dark spin on the tale. I do like as well that Wendy is a strong female lead, and is not dependent and enamoured by Peter.
Plot twists/secrets were easy to figure out if you pay attention, but still absolutely 100% worth the read :)

Interesting take on neverland
An interesting take on Peter Pan and what going to neverland really means. A bit of filler going on in the middle but overall I really enjoyed it!

A fascinating re-telling of Peter Pan and Wendy
When I first heard of this Peter Pan retelling was skeptical. I was afraid this would be another half-developed rehash where Peter Pan turns out to be a heartless psychopath. However, all my fears were proven wrong. Although it is very different from the original, I do believe Aiden Thomas has managed to craft his own version of the story all the while respecting the original material.
Aiden Thomas's version of Peter Pan is a lot more reminiscent of the Disney version but still has a universal appeal. I grew up on the darker original novel and 2003's live-action Peter Pan by PJ Hogan. This book indeed manages to capture the emotional/psychological tangles of trauma and grief, all the while sprinkling pixie dust and the magic of childhood. The themes explored are dark, but never do we feel dragged down. There is a hope and wonder which captures our hearts, fascinates, and does not allow us to put this book down. The whole narration has such an aura of mystery, reminiscent of the original JM Barrie novel. This book has so many twists and turns and manages to deliver a nearly flawless storyline (the villains could have been fleshed out a little more). I immensely enjoyed the entire novel, even though the ending made me want to cry.
This book is truly for any fan of the Peter Pan mythos and those who dream of Neverland (and enjoy a good bitter-sweet love story on the side.)
I cannot recommend it enough!
