Quick and cheesy
There was an opportunity to really challenge the characters and allow for more grit/growth. Everything was very surface level with a lot of unnecessary scenes that could have been dedicated to fleshing out character flaws to have them grow and overcome their own hurdles. Overall, it was a cotton candy read that left me wishing there was more to each character.

Where is the rest of it?
Without any spoilers I’ll just say the story is missing its meat. Let’s say you order a nice hardy soup and all they give you is bone broth, that’s how it felt reading this story.
I can see potential for this being part of a series, it’s got a good story line, but it’s not enough by itself to be a standalone. As a swiftie I really wanted to love it but I think I would have been better off going in with no expectations.
