À propos de cet audio
There are special forces. There are US Navy SEALs. There is the select and secretive group of highly trained operators known as SEAL Team Six, or MOB VI as they like to call it.
And then there is Justin Sheffield.
When it comes to talking about the most experienced, effective, and deadly warriors in the world, Sheffield is part of an exclusive group that can be counted on one hand. None have served on more combat operations - more than 1,000. None have taken out more enemies of America and freedom around the globe. None who still draw breath have paid a greater physical and emotional price for serving their country. MOB VI is a volume unlike any seen before.
This audiobook is uncompromising, raw, violent, and real. It is the story of today's most elite warrior - a patriot who fights for his country at the apex of the war against evil and a vulnerable man of faith who continues to battle demons within.

Southern Afghanistan was slipping away. That was clear to then-Captain Rusty Bradley as he began his third tour of duty there in 2006. The Taliban and their allies were infiltrating everywhere, poised to reclaim Kandahar Province, their strategically vital onetime capital. To stop them, the NATO coalition launched Operation Medusa, the largest offensive in its history. The battlefield was the Panjwayi Valley, a densely packed warren of walled compounds that doubled neatly as enemy bunkers.

As a senior non-commissioned officer of Delta Force, the most elite and secretive special operations unit in the US military, Command Sergeant Major Tom Satterly fought some of this country's most fearsome enemies. Tom is a legend even among other Tier One special operators. Yet the enemy that cost him three marriages, and ruined his health physically and psychologically, existed in his brain. Told through Satterly's firsthand experiences, it also weaves in the reasons for his career-long battle against the most insidious enemy of all: post-traumatic stress.

Histoire
In the predawn hours of March 4, 2002, just below the 10,000-foot peak of a mountain in eastern Afghanistan, a fierce battle raged. Outnumbered by Al Qaeda fighters, Air Force Combat Controller John Chapman and a handful of SEALs struggled to take the summit in a desperate bid to find a lost teammate. Chapman, leading the charge, was gravely wounded in the initial assault. Believing he was dead, his SEAL leader ordered a retreat. Chapman regained consciousness, alone with the enemy closing in on three sides, beginning the most difficult and exceptional fight of his life.

Absolutely loved this book it was inspirational in hearing what these Warriors have to go through, In training and in battle. It's sad to hear how much it takes out of them once their mission is over and they have to retire. Thank you for writing this book Justin.

from a Canadian veteran of OEF
Between the ww2 autobiographies i got from my uncle post poland ww2 publications, sub captains, soldiers, pilots, underground, then all the modern shit, probably like 30 sof ones now, nam and others iv read maybe close to 50 to 80 of these in my life time mostly english and polish and french.
This one is one of the most disturbing, dude wonders why he has ptsd. Why is it always the most religious bible thumpers, who seem to enjoy killing the most and its gruesome details, and seem to have the least respect for the fellow man on the other side, even in their final breath moments, and often seem to portray a child like fascination with killing. The author is too stupid to figure it all out yet, clearly. But his subconscious has it all figured out, thats why it was trying to commit suicide for him in the real, out of shame. His god if real will be ashamed of him. There is honor in this, there is supposed to be, BUT this guy just didnt have the mental capacity to see this and process it all. Next life/reincarnation maybe for him he will get past the first level. congrats you won the battle but lost the war, of life. Seems like the biggest booger eater of all is you "Shef" . i also came first in my stalk and marksmanship in my unit, but unfortunately i didnt drink and drive through red lights to win all the races, ALL the time lol. What are you still 12 in your brain man lol wtf. Here I was calling off a bones air strike on a village compound cause roe's were fucking warcrime retarded and meanwhile theres dudes like this guy running around handing out "freedumb". what a joke of a war. hope author reaches enlightment before the lights go out
