À propos de cet audio
Joining us from her home is writer, poet and blogger Maame Blue, whose debut novel, Bad Love, is publishing as one of the Jarcaranda #TwentyIn2020 titles, which looks to celebrate black British writers.
Blue is a Ghanaian Londoner, currently residing in Essex, with a past working in therapy. Her first publication, Psychotherapy, is a collection of poetry exploring the conscious, subconscious and unconscious processes of an ex-therapist trying to leave that world behind. Blue co-hosts a podcast, Headscarves and Carry-Ons, which looks at the struggles of black girls living abroad, and regularly blogs on her website about daily life and being creative.
Bad Love, Blue’s novel debut, focuses on Ekuah’s experiences of love, success and the difficult navigation of choices between the two. We chatted to Maame Blue about writing Bad Love, her inclusion in the #TwentyIn2020 initiative and finding her voice as a writer.
