À propos de cet audio
When the goddess culture was stolen and buried, so too were women's rites of passage into our wild, intuitive femininity and maturity.
With Maiden to Mother, Sarah Durham Wilson excavates these ancient rites, guiding us through a sacred and crucial initiation from the immature Maiden into the archetypal Mother—the powerful, safe, compassionate, full-bloom feminine life force that exists within all of us.
Becoming the Mother is every woman's birthright—regardless of whether or not she raises children. The Mother is who we needed as a child, who we were meant to be in this life, and who the world needs us to be now.
Wilson teaches that while pre-patriarchal cultures honored women's natural cycles, today's society infantilizes women, idolizing youthful traits such as "pretty, pleasing, and polite" in order to keep us distracted and dependent.
In this journey, you will travel with Inanna—the ancient Sumerian goddess who ventured through the Underworld to meet her severed, dark sister and emerged fully integrated and empowered.
Wilson helps women heal the Mother Wound and dismantle our internalized patriarchy, so we may live with authenticity and feast on the richness of life.

Marion Woodman believes that centuries of “patriarchal thinking” have stripped the soul from our inner and outer lives and placed the world in grave danger. In talks, workshops, and BodySoul Rhythms intensives in Canada, the United States, and Europe, she has urged us to engage with the unconscious energy that erupts beneath the surface of our best intentions, sending us where we may not want to go. In this lecture and through case studies, dreams, and myths, the Jungian analyst explores the hidden causes of compulsion in the lives of men and women.

It’s time for a childbirth revolution. Childbirth has always been, and always will be, a significant rite of passage that transforms a woman into a mother. However, the modern approach to maternity care fails women, families, and care providers with outdated practices that center the needs of institutions rather than individuals. In this audiobook, Rachel Reed demonstrates how childbirth can be reclaimed to center women and support birth physiology.

A gospel, as ancient and authentic as any of the gospels that the Christian bible contains, was buried deep in the Egyptian desert after an edict was sent out in the 4th century to have all copies of it destroyed. Fortunately, some rebel monks were wise enough to refuse - and thanks to their disobedience and spiritual bravery, we have several manuscripts of the only gospel that was written in the name of a woman: The Gospel of Mary Magdalene.

Not quite what I was expecting, and felt a little jacking. But a good starter book into this topic

Fantastic Content. Narrator too much
I can’t even make it through the first chapter because I can’t stand the drama in the readers voice! Loved the content and am looking forward to reading the paperback.

Not Enough Research
Couldn’t make it past the third time old folk tales about princesses and princes were disparaged and misconstrued. If there were more research into Jungian analysis done this book would have more potential.
