The story of true friendship…
I thoroughly enjoyed the story of the friendship between Jerry Schilling and Elvis Presley. Your memory for events is absolutely amazing, and the best part is, after hearing his story, I really felt like we got to understand Elvis as a human being, and not just an icon. Thanks for bringing the memory of your dear friend to all of us who only knew him as a famous singer and entertainer. I would definitely recommend this book to others!!

Great, very personal
This is the book that gives you real insight into the man and his story - a fascinating story.
Small caveat - I wish Jerry Schilling had done the reading, this narrator was a bit too boyish and light for the material. Just my opinion.

Elvis the person
I always felt he was a good guy.
This affirms that.
It breaks my heart that his creativity was stifled & his chances of a good acting role were denied him.

Wonderful Book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a lifelong Elvis fan, I’m familiar with the cast of characters - including Jerry. He’s always come across as a true, caring friend to Elvis & this story really shows the depth of their friendship. Great read!
