À propos de cet audio
Meal prep is the latest health trend and involves the purchasing of uncooked food in bulk and then storing it chopped, semiready, or ready to heat in preparation for weekly meals. This enables families to prepare ahead for their week. "Failing to plan is planning to fail," according to food gurus. Gyeong's book accentuates why meal preparation is so important in an age of busy lives, where the limitations of time cause so many bad food choices.
"I wrote this book because I do believe that meal preparation will help reduce obesity," says Gyeong. "Let's say you are working late with a deadline, or you are called for an abrupt meeting that ties you up until late - what will most of us do if we are single? Grab some fast food on the way home, right? This is now a modern behavioral trend. People with families in that same situation will do what? Whip up something very quick like pasta or call out for pizza. This is why we end up feeding our families lots of unhealthy food. Meal preparation reduces those moments to minimal and provides a healthy solution for both single people and families."
