Wonderful
I have nothing but praise for the narrator. She presented the story in such a manner that I felt as if I was with Noemi and experiencing all that she went through. Author Silva Moreno-Garcia has a new fan. Well done!

Narrator could be better
narrator was sort of boring but could be the way she perceived the characters to be. the story was good but not a "page turner".

Phenomenal!
When I first saw the title, I thought "Hm, a little on the nose," and it turns out, I was right in the best possible way. This is a book that wears its influences on its sleeve, never shying away from being as intensely Gothic as possible. References to Stoker, Poe, Wollstonecraft Shelley, and Gilman abound, and Moreno-Garcia rewards you for catching them. It's an absolute treat.

Gets better with every chapter
Started out so so be patient. Extremely original for this genre. Keeps you guessing until the end. Narrator was great. Would love to see this as a series.

weird and wonderful
This story was creepy and unsettling in the best way. Very original.
I had one issue with the narrator - it was hard to tell what was internal vs external dialogue. I wasnt always sure if the character said certain things to others or was just thinking them. Otherwise it was very well done!

Good social horror
I’ll agree that the narration on this one was a little robotic which deadened the drama in places but I really enjoyed the story

Good
It’s was a good listen. Reader was really great! The story started slow, so slow I couldn’t get in to it for a long time but the back half was REALLY good.

a good surprise
