On a scale of 1 to 10? -15.
The warnings don’t do any justice.
It’s like they presented me a bottle of vodka with a beer label haphazardly slapped on it, and said, “yup. There’s alcohol in there, be careful.”
I went into this book thinking it was about suicide and graphic depictions of death. That’s fine. What was not fine was everything else. I was fully not prepared for the graphic descriptions of sadomasochism and borderline pedophilia.
This book was one of the worst books I ever listened to. I was really contemplating stopping 2 hours in, but I forced myself to keep listening because I’m a completist and wanted to see where it was going. Nowhere. It went nowhere.
The only good part about this book is when it ended.
