Sean was just waiting for his best friend to show up at the bar so they could play some pool. It came as a shock when the tall blonde man accosted Sean and demanded that he change seats. His refusal would change his life.
When the fight ended, Sean found himself in the strangest meeting of his life. Odin, Archangel Michael, Lucifer, and Morrigan all vied for his soul, each offering different deals. Sean had to choose, so he chose to go with the goddess of Fate, Death, and Battle.
Placed on a new world, gifted with a new body crafted by the gods, and more gifts from other deities of the Tuatha De Danann, Sean now has the chance to live out a new life on a new world. Not everything will be sunshine and roses, however, in this world ruled by the Summer and Winter Queens. He learns quickly that words have power in this world, and that Agreements are binding.
Sean has his work cut out for finding his place in this new world.

My first into harem, fantasy
I loved it, loved the story progression. The one and only sex scene was really good! Could not stop listening till the end. Lets see how the next inatallment goes.

special interest
I finished it but will no be continuing withte series. a fair amount of work was put into the voice performance and to world building, but the story is basically a series of personal wish furfillment using an over powered main character. I (36f) am likely just not the target audience

Meh
Andrea Parsneau's performance has me looking for more of her work!
This novel is mildly entertaining though predictable. The brief erotica clearly written by a male was lacking. Not interested in the rest of the series.

No nuance, subtly or humor
The book starts off quite interesting. Thor kills Sean. He gets a bunch of offers from various gods and he choses an Irish goddess of fate. She gives him a new body, extra strong that can do magic and he gets to live out his days on a new world. She hopes he will dethrone the queens so she can save her people but he isn't obligated to.
Words are binding for agreements, debts and souls. If you are wronged by somebody they get to name your punishment, if they name too harsh of one, they get punished. If it is bad enough the queens get involved and deform you in some way, and that is called being shamed. There is severe prejudice against the bonded, who are basically slaves, mixed blood people, and the shamed.
The start of the book is interesting, the maneuvering of the gods and getting to learn about this new world. It very quickly gets too predictable. The good guys are easy to spot as are the bad guys. The dialogue is wooden and reads like it was done as a high school class writing assignment. The book ends without any real accomplishment other than the group for future books is formed. Some parts of it real like RPG lit. I won't be continuing the series.

If Gamers wrote books, this would be the result
Ordinary man becomes a superhero after death. He goes on quests gains and swaps super powers with other heroes. Faces villains, has multiple lives, all with a good dose of male fantasy thrown in. Not my cup of tea but may appeal to teenage boys.
