The prose in this book goes far beyond your typical true crime. Caroline Fraser’s sometimes terse, sometimes ethereal, writing is always captivating. 10/10 on the book itself, but I’m sad I can’t access the photographs. Any help with that Amazon?

If you’re looking for a play by play of crimes done by you’re favourite serial killer, this book is not for you. If you’re looking for a book that’s exploring beyond a crime scene and digging into the “why” some of these crimes may have happened, you may enjoy this book. She does layout her theory as promised but if you’re looking for a scientific deep dive, I would also look elsewhere. Part literary true crime, part memoir.
