À propos de cet audio
For Sister Riley, the teaching of music is more about an education of the soul, and that music has the power to heal and fill with courage those she is trying to guide and teach. Her commitment, and the combination of career tracks that she has pursued for decades, is also about fulfillment. "I simply love what I do,” explained Riley."
"Sister Carole is an excellent musician with a special gift for helping students and faculty by bringing effective processes into fruition. Most importantly, Sister Carole Riley offers extraordinary commitment to enriching the spiritual growth and well-being of our musical community, and we are deeply enriched through her perspectives," said Dr. Edward Kocher, dean of the Mary Pappert School of Music. In addition to her continuous post as professor at Duquesne, her past roles have included assistant dean of the music school, chair of the piano department, and membership on numerous committees and boards. She has received the President’s Award for Excellence in Community Service and was honored with membership in the Century Club of Distinguished Alumni.
