James Hetfield, with whom many years ago Mustaine founded a band known as Metallica, once observed, with some incredulity, that Mustaine must have been born with a horseshoe up his ass. That's how lucky he's been, how fortunate he is to be pulling breath after so many close calls. And Hetfield is right. Mustaine has been lucky. He has been blessed. Overall a very good book, like most have said the religion stuff is boring but other than that it's fantastic!

Awesome
Couldnt put it down, finished the 15hr book in about a week. Had to go back and download Megadeth albums to suppliment the story as it progressed.
Explains a lot both literally and between the lines, interesting story about one of my childhood heroes that is clearly a bit of a self important individual whos ego is set to 11. Great book for any Megadeth fan - first 4 hours however should be its own book called "I was in Metallica too" lol

Great book!
Tom Wayland did a great job he even sounds like Dave Mustaine!
You learn a lot about Mustaine and every Megadeth former members.
Plus you get Dave's version of the Metallica split.
Great book I enjoyed it from start to finish.

don't waist your time
Was saddened by the crying and whining through the whole book. Metallica ruined his life. But goes on about the 17 people he fired. While keeping all the money for himself. Get over yourself
